General Information


The conference is being held at the Stamford Grand, Glenelg.

Registration Desk location and times

The conference registration desk will be located in the Conference Foyer at the following times:

  • Sunday 2 July: 3:00pm – 5:00pm (prior to the welcome reception)
  • Monday 3 July: 7:30am – 4:00pm 
  • Tuesday 4 July: 8:00am – 4:00pm 
  • Wednesday 5 July: 9:00am – 3:00pm

Social Functions

The Social Functions are included in full registration and you must indicate on the registration form your intention to attend as they are ticketed events. You can log in here to see what you have registered for. (link closes 23/06/17)

Welcome Reception

Date: Sunday 2 July
Time: 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Venue: The Grand Bar, Stamford Grand
Dress: Smart Casual. Refreshments and Canapés will be served

Mad Hatter Conference Dinner

Date: Tuesday 4 July
Time: 7:00pm – 10:30pm
Venue: Adelaide Town Hall
Dress: Mad Hatter – there are prizes for best dressed!

Transfers will be provided from the Stamford Grand at 6:20pm.


Accommodation for STARS 2017 has been reserved at the Stamford Grand Adelaide. (host venue). To access the STARS Conference Accommodation rates you must book the accommodation as part of your registration.

Payment of accommodation is not taken at the time of completing an online conference registration, however a credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee your room with the hotel.

The credit card will not be charged by the Conference, it will be forwarded to the hotel, and only charged if you cancel or fail to show on your nominated check-in date.

If you wish the hotel to settle your account with a credit card of which you are not the signatory, you must provide written authority to the hotel to do so. A third party credit card form can be downloaded here. This form should be presented to the hotel at check-in.

Attendance Policy


To attend STARS, you must have a paid registration.

STARS 2017 will take place at The Stamford Grand, Glenelg, Adelaide.

No transportation will be provided for STARS, or between STARS and the airport, or accommodation providers.

No one under 18 years of age will be admitted to the STARS Social Functions.

Photographs and/or video taken at STARS by the Organisers, or others on behalf of STARS, may include your image or likeness. You agree that STARS may use such photographs and/or video for any purpose without compensation to you.

STARS reserves the right to refuse admittance to, or remove any person from, STARS at any time in its sole discretion, including but not limited to attendees behaving in a disorderly manner or failing to comply with these terms and conditions.

All presentations at STARS will be in English.

Attendance at Network Groups must be pre-purchased and you must hold a valid ticket to enter.

No Soliciting

Solicitation or selling of items or services is not allowed at STARS. Any attendee conducting these activities may be removed from STARS.  

No Smoking

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the Stamford Grand. Please refrain from smoking within 10 meters of the foyer doors.

Name Badges

You must wear your STARS name badge at all times to receive admittance to the conference.

You agree not to share, transfer, give, or otherwise provide your name badge to anyone.
