Welcome Cocktail Reception

The conference committee invites you to attend the conference cocktail reception on the Rooftop Terrace of Rydges Hotel South Bank. This function will give you an opportunity to meet firm friends and meet new FYHE attendees. The Rooftop Terrace offers panoramic views of the Brisbane River, City Skyline and South Bank Parklands. Enjoy some of Brisbane’s best hospitality combined with arguably the most spectacular view of Brisbane. After the function has concluded wander through South Bank Parklands whilst you decide which of the South Bank restaurants, cafes and eateries to dine in.

Cost: Inclusive for delegates and accompanying persons. Additional tickets are available at a cost of $50.00 inc GST

Conference Dinner- “Paint the Town Red…”

This central location on the Brisbane River is the perfect place for the FYHE conference dinner. Riverside Functions Centre is right in the heart of the thriving night life of Brisbane. The floor to ceiling windows allows magnificent views of the Eagle Street Pier, Storey Bridge and picturesque New Farm. You are invited to incorporate the colours of red, black and/or white into your dress for the evening to help us paint the town red! Be prepared for fabulous food, great company and a lot of fun.

The dress code for the evening is cocktail wear in the colours of red, black and white.

Venue: Riverside Function & Events Centre
Cost: Inclusive for delegates and accompanying persons. Additional tickets are available for a cost of $80.00 inc GST.

Half Day Tours

Unfortunately minimum numbers were not met so we are unable to proceed with the Brisbane Bay and River Cruise and the Montville Maleny Meander. We have developed an alternative tour of Brisbane which we feel is just as interesting and scenic. The itinerary for this tour is as follows:

• Coach pick from QUT at 12.30pm
• Enjoy a Deck Lunch with a glass of wine at the Summit Restaurant at Mt Cootha while you overlook panoramic views of Brisbane
• Guided coach transfer through the western suburbs to reach the University of Queensland's picturesque St Lucia campus
• Board a CityCat (high speed catamaran) for a scenic journey along the Brisbane River to South Bank Parklands
• Rejoin the coach for a guided tour around some of Brisbane's interesting and scenic locations
• Coach drop off at QUT at 5.30pm

Delegates participating in this leisurely tour of Brisbane will also receive a photographic landscape book of Brisbane by well-known photographer Peter Lik together with a travel pack for the coach.

The cost of this tour is $60.00 inc GST and includes lunch at the Summit Restaurant with one glass of wine, all transport and your tour souvenir.
