The Poster will display a sequence of items under the broad headings of: Overview of student diversity, Research findings on First Year Experience, Agenda for academic staff development with sub-sets of (1) Areas of risk that can be specifically addressed by lecturers of First Year students and (2) 'Ideas and ways of managing…diversity' for Academic Staff Development (7th Pacific Rim conference: Call for Papers: p.8). References will be provided to support the assertions and to guide towards further reading.
