George D. Kuh
Center for Postsecondary Research
Indiana University Bloomington USA

Postsecondary institutions committed to student success intentionally organize the first months of study to induce students to engage in productive activities.  In this session, we will review the factors and conditions that are related to students’ academic performance and satisfaction and the institutional policies, programs and practices that increase the odds that more students will survive and thrive in the critical first year of university study.
