Parking

Public Transport

Melbourne’s public transportation system consists of trains, trams and buses as well as taxis. Myki is Melbourne’s ticket to travel on the city’s trains, trams and buses. International and interstate visitors coming to Victoria can buy a full fare or concession Myki Visitor Pack from the Melbourne Visitor Centre at Federation Square or from the PTV Hub at Southern Cross Station.

Taxes

A Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10% applies to all consumer goods and is included in retail prices. All fees are quoted in Australian Dollars and are subject to GST. In some cases the GST is able to be claimed back on exiting the country. Full details can be found here.

Visa Information

All visitors to Australia must have a valid visa to travel to and enter Australia. New Zealand and Norfolk Island passport holders do not usually need to lodge a visa application prior to their departure unless they have health and/or character concerns.

Attendance Policy

Attendance

To attend the Student Success Conference 2024, you must have a paid registration.

The Student Success Conference 2024 will take place at The Sofitel Melbourne On Collins. No transportation is provided for the conference, or between the Venue and the airport, or accommodation providers. No one under 18 years of age will be admitted to the Social Functions.

Photographs and/or video taken at the Conference by the Organisers, or others on behalf of the Conference, may include your image or likeness. You agree that the Organisers may use such photographs and/or video for any purpose without compensation to you.

The Organisers reserves the right to refuse admittance to, or remove any person from the Conference at any time in its sole discretion, including but not limited to attendees behaving in a disorderly manner or failing to comply with these terms and conditions.

All presentations at the Conference will be in English. Attendance at Workshops, Special Interest Groups and Masterclasses must be pre-purchased and you must hold a valid ticket to enter.

No Soliciting

Solicitation or selling of items or services is not allowed at the Conference. Any attendee conducting these activities may be removed.

 No Smoking

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the The Sofitel. Please refrain from smoking within 10 meters of the foyer doors.

Name Badges

You must wear your Conference name badge at all times to receive admittance to the conference.

You agree not to share, transfer, give, or otherwise provide your name badge to anyone.
